Adobe Soundbooth Beta
October 27th, 2006 by Jerome
Adobe just introduced its new audio editor, Soundbooth. Following the company’s acquisition of Cool Edit Pro in 2003, which gave birth to their software Audition, Adobe decided to release this second app, which will be “focused on creative professionals without audio expertise, or those who prefer an application focused on making short work of the most common tasks they handle every day.”
Peter Kirn, from Create Digital Music, wrote a nice First Look on Soundbooth - you might want to read it further to get a better idea of its possibilities.
You can download the beta version on Adobe’s website. Mac users will be pleased to learn that it will only install on Intel-based Macs: another proof that Adobe just doesn’t care about its Mac user-base.
